Danbrit has the transducers but no equipment !!! , so will any Furuno depth sounder connect to the cable .
The same situation re log
and finally there's a Furuno gps thingy that was left up on the mast , it looks like a mushroom !!!! is it worth hanging onto this .
The radar seems complete but I don't know if it works , but before I try I want to bring the unit home to allow it to dry out as I feel sure the condensation will be on the circuit boards.
I will be at the lbs and you'll recognise me cos I'm the scruffy one :) , while there I want to get a new depth sounder , hopefully to match the transducer already there.
Cheers
Mick

Mick, Danbrit being a trawler would amost certainly have had a low frequency fish finder or maybe a dual frequency one, if you intend fitting a standard fishfinder as supplied to us pleasure users you would be well advised to use a transducer supplied with the new set, failing that try to ascertain what it is you have lurking beneath your keel.

It is definitely a depth sounder , and the unit that was fitted in the wheelhouse was only about 4 to 5 inches square. Trouble with getting under hull is it's about 8ft draft and I wont be making beaching legs for a while yet, so until then I cant get right under the hull cos as you know things this big cost a fortune to slip. Now I have the pontoon who knows the transducers may be accessible ?, as she takes the ground and dry's to 4ft from the keel.
The cable has furuno transducer printed on it not that it helps I suppose.
I don't want to take her back out re the wash and sand banks until I have a reasonable depth sounder. Mind you I do have to sort out a leak re output shaft from the gearbox, this could be just a matter of pumping grease into the flange but I'l have to wait until I've spoken to Twin disk chaps at lbs and hopefully get the book for it.
cheers

Mick, If you can read the cable i.e. Furono, are there any other words or letters visible? There is a firm at Tilbury forgot the name, but the phone is 01375 841488, they may be able to assist.

Mick you can contact Furuno tech service in Aberdeen for help and info ,they are very good.....and the 'mushroom' does sound like a gps ariel.....if its about 3'' high x 2'' at the top....if so I'll give you a couple of squids for it as a spare for mine.......if its significantly larger then it may be navtex ariel......

Ok Ian I'll remember that , I may be able to buy the original stuff from the previous owner but as yet no reply from him. I would prefer new as a starting point.
Cheers

Thanks John
I had a look today in the pouring rain, the cable has
airmark transducer c9 c1225. Both log and depth gauge have the same name and numbers.
I'l try that number tomorrow and if no joy try Funuro in Scotland (Ian said ).
Cheers
