Only just noticed your post as I don't visit this site all that often. I don't know if its any help, but quite a few years ago now I used to do business with a timber moulding company called Winther Brown, I think they were in N. or E. London somewhere. You could try tracking them down and if they are still around I'm sure they would try and help, they were always very obliging when I knew them.
