Telefonica Movistar do as previously discussed have a special number for connecting to the internet. The best bet is to go into one of the hundreds of movistar shops and ask them to put you through to customer service and English speaking operators are available. Have a piece of paper with you as they will give you a username/password which is quite a few digits long. After that dial 555 from your phone and you should get connected for as little as 6cents a minute.
