Hi All,
I purchased a new gennaker/code zero sail plus Karver F1 large furling system plus a bowspit /prodder or what ever name you want to use ! for the stubby mast version of my Southerly 110 ,ever scince I purchased it I have had problems furling it ,the sailmaker has been out several times and been helpful trying to solve the problem ,it furls ok for the bottom half but none of the top furls so it is all baggy also a right pain in higher winds .I have checked the top swival and it swivals OK but when under load it dosen't seem to !
The sailmaker is now suggesting a new top down furler from Karver which is due out in the next couple of weeks .Has anybody else had this problem ?
After shelling out a lot of dosh I am now very frustated !
Cheers in advance Gary

I have same boat and same genneker kit. Any more than 12 kts of wind and can be a problem. However, furling has always been OK provided that you winch the halyard bar tight. Mine was originally cut for the long mast by mistake - and could not be tightened enough, as the luff was too long.
