Furlex luff tape

I have a Furlex type C luff foil and genoa with size # 6 luff tape. Frequently the luff pulls out of the feeder while hoisting the sail even though it is properly led with prefeeder. Does anyone know what size luff tape is recomended ? I have emailed Selden mast asking this, but have not received any response.

First, if Selden don't answer go to Companies House and get the director's home addresses- this worked wonders for me when they were being plonkers!.

However, the prefeeder,if this is the alloy bungy controlled ball-ended jaw device which sits below the foil, can be squeezed(gently) to close the gap so that the genoa luff tape will not pull out

If the prefeeder is arranged to float correctly, there shouldn't be any inclination for the tape to try and jump the feeder. Can you describe how you have mounted the pf?

Correct luff tape...

According to the manual, the luff tape should be max 6mm diameter.
