Surveyor says change gate valve on fuel tank to lever type valve.Will this be a metric thread or imperial or what. "81 " model. Greatful for any feedback.

if you have not already done so.
I am sure they will be a standard pipe thread as 30boat says but the question as to whether they are BSP or metric remains. The valve body thread will be BSP I'd guess even if the pipework turns out to be metric.
But why is your surveyor suggesting the change. Any sound reason or just one of those things that surveyors suggest?

Surveyor wants gate valve changed to lever valve with wire led into cockpit locker to turn fuel off quickly in case of engine fire.
