Having just had the first sail of the season, my fully batten main was setting with a bit of an S curve rather than the usual aerodynamic arc. I am assuming this is a batten tension issue; am I correct and is it too much or too little?

Without further details about the S curve such as location and orientation it's difficult to diagnose. My own theory re. full length battens is that they should be adjusted so that there is definitely no fore and aft slack in the sail but instead just a hint of compression in the batten.
