Today, around 1pm Full Circle was drugged, beaten to a pulp and robbed of 850 quid.
He lost 4 teeth, and woke up at home, and is now drinking tomato soup through a straw.

Fortunately the Police werent involved. It was some bloke called Den Tist.

So thats a very big hole in the house decorating budget?

Erm, no.Its coming out of the Sails budget, dang.

Still, should stop the permanent toothache /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

As someone who took 59 years of his 61 years (I know, it's amazing how young I look /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) to overcome a fear of dentists, you have my utmost sympathy. Necessity forced me to go and I found one that is pain free and likes to talk about boats /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif When I complained about his bill he said "you've had plenty of time to save up" - couldn't argue with that..

Let's hope it's job done and no more trouble - take it easy on the Scottish anaethestic /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

With an older brother earning his keep as a dental hygienist, a younger brother who tortures people for a living as a physiotherapist, I could be forgiven for having a profound mistrust of the medical profession. Especially after having gone seven years without going to a dentist, then got persuaded to have an inspection before the Oostende cruise which resulted in my first case of toothache in decades. Seems she did something to cause an infection, maybe I won't go back there again in a hurry /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I found the same in Diss, Norfolk. Really wonderful chap, and a brilliant dentist. To make sure he continues to be gentle with me, I take him out sailing from time to time. His wife sometimes has to come into the surgery and stop us nattering about boats because the queue's building up outside.

Much sympathy to you though Jim.

What is it about dentists and sailing? Our dentist is really getting into sailing and often regales HWMBO and myself with information about his Caribbean cruise he has planned this summer. P'raps it's because they're paid too much /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

ill never forget the Asian dentist in Stamford whom i paid a visit,i had been quoted over the phone 95 quid or so to have a tooth extracted, whilst in my mouth he decided that there was another one that required pulling,he said" that will cost another 85 ,you do have your credit card with you ? before i commence the work.

what a mercenary money grabbing asian *******

Just feel the love oozing from your fellow formites /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thank goodness for the Health Cash Plan. Can't beat it - get my teeth, eyes, feet, back repaired / maintained and they give me the money back!

Haven't found a boat version yet.

Enjoy the soup - just right for the weather this time of year /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Jim,

you have my sympathy. My teeth are still recovering from going 15 rounds with the hygenist on Tuesday. If it results in toothache when we're away sailing next week, I will not be a happy bunny...

I had an appointment with hygienist yesterday. This on the insistence of my Indian Nasty Health dentist. Not so much an appointment with the dentist, more 10 mins of ritual abuse while she poked about inside my mouth and criticised my toothcare regime.

Curious this, as the hygienist said my regime was excellent which is why my teeth and gums were so healthy. She recommended nothing more than what I am doing already.

Apparently the dentist is offensive to everyone, not just me, 'it's just her way', apparently. Bitch. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

One of the advantages to having my CV on so many job sites is that I get loads of e.mails offering work, loads of which I'm not qualified to do. Though for This sort of money I wouldn't mind being offensive /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Never realised how much they get paid /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
