Full Circle will be bustling around the Ramsgate Week race course next year, in Class 6 as usual.

The major advantages over Burnham Week for the larger craft is that there is very little short tacking between river banks (none!) and the water depth is a smidgin more than necessary.

Just wondered if anyone else fancied making the trip down?

The cost, if you enter before may 2008, is 100 quid for the whole week, and currently 50% discount on mooring fees. So for my fat bus, that about 80 quid for the week.

We will be seeking star guests to assist our way round, and will be running the bonhomie crew-for-a-day scheme that we usually do.

There is accommodation in Royal Temple and locally as well, but it needs booking early.

We will probably spend a week cruising first, then pop into Ramsgate just before the first start.

Spinnaker not required, Phew!.
Ramsgate had an error in their class naming structure for 2007 - it will be rectified back to Class 6 as being white sails only.

They seem very keen to resurrect what was once a very good week. I even had the Rear Commodore phone me this morning with yet further info.

Be great to see a couple of forum boats from around the coast.

Just for the craic of course..

Jim,

any room for a novice racer? I'll bulk up ( /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) so I can be useful as moveable windward rail ballast...

Jim,

Had a look at the website and although confused between classes 5 and 6, I am pretty certain I will do most if not all of it with Moon Dancer. Also join you in the non-spinnaker class as there will probably only be two of us.

What does white sails mean? Does it mean I have to use my Dacron sails rather than Pentax sails? Anyway it all sounds a lot of fun.

Its probably a bit far to take Grayling although I am hoping to take her to Burnham again next year.

If you would like me to crew I would happy to take a day off and pull ropes for you. PM me if you want some idea of my experience or to book a day, happy to pay my share of food beer etc.

I will "only" have two weeks off next summer - so "long distance" is out of the question.
As we've only spent two /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif days in Ramsgate this year, Ramsgate Week next year might be just the ticket.

Also a bit confused about Class 5 - 6: no fancy sails, but would like the option the fly the kite - which class should we enter Guapa (also no IRC-thingy)

Will,
You would need to enter Class 5 which is Local Handicap with Spinnaker. Local means they change it to suit how you are going in the week, which recognises weight, sails etc and not just the bare handicap. No IRC required.
It would be great to see Guapa there, by the looks of it, there will be crew available if you need them.
