Well, we have a motor that works, and sail system repaired under challenging bouncy conditions last night, with out droppiing so much as a split pin overboard.

Lynn & I have volunteered to race on Moondancer on Sunday, so we are placing our floatel near the start line on Saturday night.
We will be semi engaged in non serious boat fixing (cleaning the teak).
If anyone is in Paglesham Reach or considering a pint in the Plough & Sail on Saturday Afternoon/Evening, please give us a call on VHF/Phone or Knocking on the hull(not too hard, it might crack).

Cheers

Jim

Good stuff think we all have everything cross that your trials and tribulations (whatever they are) have come to an end.

BTW SWMBO is designated skipper for the Oostend trip and looks like she is more in favour of a single hop out of the crouch on the thursday rather than shotley first will keep will keep you posted

Enjoy your well earned weekend

Excellent news Jim, just remember, things can only get better so let's hope this is at least close to an end of the problems. Not far behind you but work has been interfering with progress for a while, but still hoping to launch soon. Happy days matey, happy days /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Now will you please change that signature before Louise spots it and starts dreaming /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well a succesful first sail of the year for foolcirclip. Jim moored the night before and so he led me to believe emptied Artemis's drinks cabinet. A wonderful morning soaking up the sun and a sail on Moondancer and Jim should now be back on his mooring with no breakages. Certainly, there was no water above the floorboards when we left her.

Only problem found was that we just need a higher factor sun cream for Moondancer's crew and Lynn prefers the comfort of a larger vessel.
