Fuel

If the same tap, and you start one engine before the other, it gets all the crap.

If two taps, one is longer than the other and the engine connected to the shorter gets all the crap.

Otherwise I dunno.
 
If you have seperate filters for each engine feed one could be the cause. What have you got between the tank and each engine?

Fuel line to water sepaertor(s), In line filters (racor or similar?) or just a fuel pipe to the engine?

what about the return?

Actually are they diesel?
