My s/s diesel tank is leaking and as it is rather elderly, needs replacing with a larger one. Has anyone any experience of replacing with plastic tanks?. Are they available 'plumbed' for use with diesel?.

I used Tek Tanks - their custom tanks are thicker walled than the off-the-shelf stuff and I needed mine to be a precise shape, so mocked up what I wanted in 4mm MDF and some battens, the finished product was an exact match to less then 1mm.

Hi Rabbie
See my post on leaking tec tanks
It will be interesting to see if it is a common problem or better a cure.
Otherwise as above they are good and strong.

If you have access problems you can try Duratank. I had flexible tanks made as I had to cut up the steel ones to get them out. New ones of the same size would obviously not go back in.

Very helpfull people.
