Fuel sender unit

The VDO fuel sender unit in my boat is unserviceable. I cannot track down a replacement. Can anyone advise me where to find a stockist, or recommend another type which is compatable with a VDO gauge. It is mounted in a metal tank.

VDO do two types of fuel sender. Lever type and rod type.
