I'm just wondering, if the predicted price of fuel caused some people to prematurely get out of boating!?

There were many doom mongers who predicted prices of $200.00 a barrel for oil by now!

No apologies for getting it so wrong!?

Is the oil price a bigger weight in the equation for people getting out of boating than an economic down turn?

I think it is the fixed costs ; berthing fees, maintenance and insurance which cause people to get out of boating - rather than the variable (fuel) costs - IMO.

Yup, gludy. He went and chopped in his mobo for a catamaran

Just for the record, I filled up a chichester marina this morning .80p per litre with the 60/40 split. Price possibly going down when they get their next delivery.

Kev, I paid 80p/litre at Chi Marina on 6 December. I'm surprised it isn't less by now, given what road diesel prices have done.
