Hi I need to replace a short piece of pipe from the tank to the cav filter, it's around a metre long. The take off is at the top of the tank. How can I fill the pipe with fuel, do I just bleed the system on the cav filter. Tia.

There should be a shutoff valve at the tank.
Open valve.
Suck fuel through with a syringe.
Close valve.
repeat as needed.

Would be useful to know what engine you have and what other filters. How do you normally bleed the system when you change filters ?

I have a good old fashioned tank, with the takeoff from the bottom, but if I was faced with this problem I would temporarily block the tank breather with a rag, and slightly pressurise the fuel tank with a dinghy pump.
