Replacing stopcock on fuel line as well as drain plug in running tank. What is the recommended method for sealing the threaded joints. PTFE tape? Thread Loc? Other sealing compound? Once refitted I cannot access either the stopcock or the drain plug easily so would like to ensure the joints are leak free first time.

It is not best practice to use PTFE tape in fuel lines, although most people, including me, do so. There is a risk that pieces of the tape can block small ports and orifices. Definite no-no after the final filter but even before that it is possible for a larger piece to block a 5 mm pipe. Liquid PTFE, not widely available, is brilliant for the job, and many others. I have some on the boat but unfortunately not at home, where it would be very handy. Mine was bought in Spain, cannot find a direct equivalent but the container looks like this one https://www.bes.co.uk/product/213~IE~6976~-ROCOL-RAPIDSEAL.html Not sure if that is PTFE though and mine is definitely not yellow.

I also used some like Vyv posted but mine was loctite manufacture and in the same like of bottle and was coloured yellow. That also sealed every time.

I have now gone away from PTFE tape as it is now too thin to seal properly.
