Have just moved the boat to the Broads and am not really familiar with the best places to buy diesel.

Will be off for normal summer holiday cruise soon so need to brim the tanks - about 1,000 litres. Can anybody tell me the best places between say Ipswich & Yarmouth?

For the most up to date info I would post on the East Coast Forum. Those guys will be able to help.

When I was there Lowestoft haven Marina was cheaper than RNSYC, but even cheaper still was the guy at Oulton Broad who runs the day hire boat centre.

There was a place in Yarmouth on the left hand side just before the lifeboat station, who was supposed to be cheap but I have no personal experience, it's just a tank on the quayside with a phone number on the side.

Moody has indicated a couple of places for fuel, further up the broads fuel is harder to find.
Paul Willament sells fuel from a tank just before the Lifeboat on the Gorleston side of the River Yare, probably he is the cheapest you will find, there is a phone number on the side of the tank, or you can moor up and walk across the adjacent road to his workshop,(well worth a visit as it is like going back in time).
Further up the Yare, towards Norwich is Brooms where you can buy diesel. At Lowestoft there are a couple of places, Lowestoft Haven Marina is probably the cheapest, or there is the RNSYC. On the Waveney towards Beccles is The Waveney River Center, and at the top end of Breydon Water is Goodchild Marine.

I would strongly suggest you fill up at Willaments in Gt Yarmouth as they are undoubtably the cheapest in the area. When up in the Northern broads, be prepared to take out a second mortgage for fuel!
