The boat has twin diesel tanks, each holding around 80 litres. Made of mild steel... yes, replacement is next on the list but not yet.
Port tank is approx. two thirds full. St'bd tank is about a third.
Both fuel taps are open and I cannot find any other diverter valves which would select one tank or the other.
I can't work out why fuel is being drawn from one tank in preference to the other and that the levels don't equalise.
I undid the plumbing and confirmed the flow from the port tank was OK. Both breathers are clear.
What's going on? Should I care? What is the meaning of life?
