Fuel consumption

Am thinking of buying a 1988 Fairline Sun Fury fitted with 110hp Volvo turbo diesels. Have no experience of these engines and would like to know what the expected fuel consumption and their reliability might be. Can anyone enlighten me?

?? i thort that the only diesels fitted as OE were the 130hps
Twill be a bit gutless, and not get onto plane IMHO.

Otherwise consumption flat out .... ~6 gals/hr i guess

About 500 built and top end according to my little book is 25 to 30 knots when new. Nippy I would say for "just able to plane " type boat..

Not wishing to get into a fight
Wud beg to differ!!!!
110hp diesels not mentioned on brochure at all
+ 15yr old engines
if he gets 30kts i wud be very surprised, nay astounded
