On the fuel forum there is a thread, concerning getting your own diesel in a fuel bowser
Well, you can buy a 1000gal bowser from jarvieplant.co.uk for £1,200 but would need a hefty old land rover to tow it!!
Just another thought that will probably be destined for the scrap heap!

Be very careful

There is a law that stops the transport of fuel by private people. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it sort of states that unless you have the exact insurance to transport fuel you cannot move more than will fit into a vehicle tank.

I think that even a couple of 20 ltr cans break this law.

Go to a farm sale - they're advertised in Farmers weekly & local papers. Loads of machinery - bowsers go for around £100. You'll probably get an old
Landy to pull it as well.

Laziness mate, thats why I haven't done what you suggested already. As regards the Landie, they fetch fortunes 2nd hand. Anyway I can always borrow a tractor off my neighbour but once in position it will not need moving. I hust keep looking in the good old Thames Valley Trader and on the LOOT website amongst others like PRELOVED. Clive Folley has a Subaru Pickup I can borrow too.

Byron,
Just geta spun moulded polypropylene diesel tank and set it up where you want it. 1200lt size cost around £250 (brand spanking new), smaller will be cheaper.

Eddie
