Whilst visiting Portland Marina this weekend I topped up my tanks and paid £1.13 p/l 60/40 and that was with a £0.03p D&R berth holders discount!!

£1.17 p/l really??

You've been warned...

Worth nipping into Weymouth and asking the Harbour Office for Andy Alcock's number. He can refuel you form his truck and very reasonable price too! I was there a couple of weeks ago and refuelled, the pumps were open but the office gave me Andy's number and he turned up within minutes of my call. Only diesel, no petrol available...

Thanks for the tip - I had heard about this guy but Weymouth had their 'Seafood Festival' at the weekend (which is why we were there) so the harbour was manic. I'm not sure I could have got anywhere near a truck but I will bear that in mind for future reference, do you have a number for him?

I want to know why all marinas don't advertise there current price based upon a 60/40 split on a big signboard just like car filling stations. It can't be that difficult, then if it's too high you can motor straight past!

QAB Plymouth do - perhaps because they are cheaper than all the others in Plymouth!

Even at todays fairly dreadful rate of exchange we have been paying under £1 a litre for fully taxed diesel in North West Spain in the last couple of weeks. £1.17 for 60/40 seems like a major rip off even allowing for the fact that Spanish fuel duty is less than UK.
