As was a bit windy today, decided to drag out log book and work out fuel/running costs over the last three years of ownership. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Total fuel burn was 900 gallons and have guessed at average price of 30p per lire. 400 quid per year.
A total of 140 journeys over the three years gave a total of 450 hours.,Boat came with 1950 on Hobbs meter and now reading 2450 so my calculator gave me around 2 GPH on average.
Engines are 2 x 140 HP outdrive diesel 40A Volvos.
Berthing comes to approx 600 per year and insurance about 300.00 ,including a hike in premium due to minor accident.
Maintenace come to around 800 per year for bits and all work carried out DIY,worst item was horrid 400 pounds for new leg ram last year.
Looking at used prices, guess the boat would probably sell now for the same sort of prices asked for this type of boat (33K)when we bought her.
Had more fun and use out of this boat than all (7)of my previous boats put together.

Berthing £600 per year?? Sound good value to me!! Overall running costs seem very good - we probably get similar fuel consumption. What is your cruising speed?

On very rare occasions we reach the dizzy speed of 16 Knots, but not for very long as always worry if expensive busting sounds will shortly follow.Normal speed around 8/10 but quit a bit of slowish 5 knots when ditch crawling or not going anywhere particular in estuary.
