I mostly read and don't participate, but think these forums (when working properly!) are really interesting and those that contribute a great deal of time and knowledge deserve a medal - is that enough up front grovelling!!??.

I have a Regal 2400 with a Bimini. I want to get some of the front, side and maybe rear windows that fasten with zips and poppers between the bimini and the windscenn etc.

Is my only choice a Regal dealer or has anyone any knowledge or experience of having someone make them up to fit?

I am based in Anglesey.

Thanks.

I think the dealer is the best bet, as a canvas specialist wont have anything to "copy" from.
Note that the poppers probably wont be fixed to the canvas, as you need to do that yourself to match the poppers on the boat. Thats a real hassle. Might be worth marking them, and asking a canvas specialist to to it.
I had a 2400.. the canvas its such a hassle, i think I only ever out it up once (and then it leaked all over the place anyway!)

I'm sure you must have a "cover" maker up your way, have a look in yellow pages under boat covers or boats!
Alternatively look for some names and phone numbers on other boat's canopies.
I just had one panel made, after dropping the original in the water /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif, cost me £100

My boat has it built in by an American company called "Taylor made” worth going on their web site and maybe they make one?

The products are normally first class stuff.

Thanks all so far.

Tom - are you refering to the windscreen/side screens themselves wihich I have often seen on boats made by Taylor made or the see through canvas/pvc type material you put inbetween the top of the windscreen and the bimini in "inclement" weather which is what I am after?

Thanks,

JMT

What you are after is the "camper canvas option". I must confess that a few years ago I tried to order a new one for my 2760 Regal but it was very expensive. Best to get a local cover maker to quote for the job!

Alternatively Taylor Made do make full canvas kits for the 2004, but you will need to buy a new bimini and sides so may work out more expensive! I bought a new Taylor made 8ftx8ft Bimini and Frame this year for £250 delivered because of the weak dollar!

Just google Taylor Made and then search on pre made camper canvas

Cheers
