Continuing on the theme of rudeboat show staff.

While at the boat show, my father bought a boat, only a small Pilot house for a bit of fishing in spain, but, nonetheless a boat.....Now, we both went off to find a cover manufacturer who could make a cover the back of his new boat...C J Marine seemed to be the only one we could find....Salesman had a terrible attidude, would not even stick his head around the corner to see the boat....Just not interested.

Later on we wandered past the trader stand, caught the chaps eye on board who invited us all up for a look around.......After that, I've decided, if I win the lottery, I'm gonna buy a trader.......

Over all, a good show, but I think I've been done for speeding after missing the junction on the A13 and having to turn around at the next junction. Also, got my free musto bag for subscribing to the MBM mag.....Yippie.

Paul.

Hi Paul,

My experience with CJ were pretty awful. I met the MD at the Southampton Boat Show year before last. Took him to look at my boat and he said they could do everything in the time I wanted and he took the cover away. When I phoned to check if it was done on the day agreed I was told by one of his staff not only was it not done he should not have promised it for that date. I was very cross and eventually persuaded them to do the work. When I went to pick it up only half the work was done and after me getting cross again they agreed to do the items they had not done while I waited. This they did. The work was fine but I don't need this sort of hassle especially when the MD promised something and the staff tell me he shouldn't have done so. I now need some work done on the cover and I think I will give them a miss this time.
