Article in latest YM on Corinthian Transat sounded very interesting. But one has to ask how does an entrance fee of £1000 equate to prize money of half a crown ? And what does the £1000 buy ?

If you mean the article by Mr Purves, he gives a minimum loa of 30ft for the modern one, then goes all dewy eyed about boats like Jester which wouldn't qualify for it. My 4 ton 26 ft Nicholson wouldn't qualify, nor would a Twister, a Folkboat or a Vertue. Back to basics my a$£%e!
