An American fighter pilot is flying over Afganistan When he looks over his left wing he see's an man wearing a turban sitting on a flying carpet, holding a machine gun
" Holy cow ! " he says, looks over his right shoulder and see's another one keeping pace with him, also with a machine gun.
He flicks on the afterburners, goes into a tight loop, comes up behind them, fires off a couple of sidewinders and shoots them both down.
When he got back he gleefully told his base commander what he'd done.
The base commander says " You idiot !!, they were Allied carpets "

True Story (I think) a couple of UK Army helicopter flyers were on an exchange visit to a US Army base. Whilst there, they got to try the latest BlackHawk helicopter gunship simulator. So flying along and marvelling at it's realism they spotted a couple of M1 Abrahams on the ground - for information these are Americas premier heavy battle tanks.

Quick as a flash they targetted them and destoryed both of the tanks with the Blackhawks weaponary.

"You can't do that, they are our guys" exclaimed the instructor
"Why not? You do!" was their reply.
