We have an 'INDEL B' refridgerator on board and the thermostat seems to have packed up as the thing just runs continuously.

Anyone know of a simple test with a multimeter (including what readings I should expect - yep you guessed I'm not the worlds most technical electrician) I can do to confirm this and if it is busted where I can source replacement parts?

Many thanks in advance

Not sure what type of thermostat that is fitted but if mechanical then there should be a +12v in and a switched +12v out going to the compressor. (This would apply with an electronic also.)

You could either check voltages with the unit powered up or check for conituity with the power off.

Most of the thermostats used are removable and as long as the belows are not punctured cleaning the contacts will restore it to full working again.
Be careful you don't kink or brake the fine tube with the bulb on the end. I take it it is a 12v refrigerator so may be the contact's are just stuck. I also take it the temp is going down to freezing in/on the evaporator. If not then it may be a shortage of refrigerant gas.

Yea. The fridge is freezing up if we don't switch it off periodically. I will have a go at the gubbins and see what happens.

Many thanks foir the responses. More welcomed.....

I think you will find the contacts of the stat are stuck it should be easy to part them and then polish with 600 grad wet&dry use it dry they should be in contact at room temp at any setting. try not to strain any of the moving components of the stat as it will alter the set point at any given setting of the control knob. to finally check put the stat in you home frig and the bulb at the end of the thin tube in the evaporator and the contacts should open, if not the stat may have lost it's liquid or gas in the activating part and the only answer will be a new stat.
Hope this helps.
