Freshwater Pump Advice

Here are 2 pictures of the pressurised freshwater system installed in my Rival 32 project.

Both pulleys (connected by a belt) are seized solid and the whole shebang shown in the picture looks to be terminally corroded, my question in respect of the first picture is, what are the other 2 components in the picture? Presumably (but maybe not) they all work together to supply the pressurised water system? Which bit does what? What can I replace this mess with? There are hot & cold taps in the galley and ditto in the heads. Nothing else, do I need to replace this system with like for like or can I install a simpler setup? I have no idea what pressure the pump needs to be to suit my requirements. I’m really in the dark and advice is sorely needed! Is there a one unit solution available?

The second picture seems to show a Coleman 2236A pressure accumulator vessel linked to an Aqua filter housing, also in poor state of repair. Can the accumulator tank be be incorporated directly with a more modern “pressurised freshwater” system and do I need the Quafilter at all?

Essentially what I’d like is for someone who knows what they’re taking about to tell me to rip it all out and install a ready assembled xxxxxxx manufactured by company yyyyyy.

That was a good Jabsco PAR pump with a separate Square D pressure switch.
What pressure rating is your calorifier and associated pressure release valve?
How many outlets do you want to feed at the same time?
You need an accumulator to reduce pump cycling and for a more peaceful life.
You need a water filter if you want to drink the water without being paranoid about taste, sediment, creepy crawlies.

Yes it would if the pressure was suitable for your calorifier etc. as above, but there is no waterfilter in that kit, only a coarse strainer on the inlet.

Thanks for the advice Sam, I wasn’t aware the pressure had to be matched to a release valve on the calorifier! All I’ve got to do now is find the calorifier. I’m still discovering where and what everything is, There’s an Eberspacher heating system on the boat which I was told heats the water, there’s a grey rectangular tank fitted in the galley area - that could be the calorifier/Eberspacher, I need to investigate further,,
