Difficult Really - I deliver alot of boats down in the med and have found that the best info is from The "Imray Med. Almanac 2003/04" or a book called "Vetus Marina Guide Mediterranee" - The later has full colour pictures for most marina's. Websites for individuals are difficult to find unless you know the specific name of the Marina you want. There are also specific Almanacs and Marina Guides for all Mediterranean Countries.
This site has lots of useful basic info across most of the Med. Also has about 45 French marinas in it. It does not have the details you are looking for, but appears to have the correct name for a web search to be effective.
Try the Bloc Marine site or (even better) get their Livre en Bord: Mediterranée, which has detailed prices and far fuller details than any of the (usually out-of-date) UK guides - but you have to read French. The cost of the 2002 one was €16.99, but Imrays have given up on bringing it in so you'll have to buy it over there. Try Atlantic Loisirs in les Minimes @ la Rochelle, Marc will do anything for cash. Problems of getting numbers e-mail me via the BB and I'll let you have them.
I can tell you that there is much greater uniformity in prices from marina to marina than in the UK, get one price for an area and you've got the rest.
On the whole French marinas are about 40% more expensive than Spanish ones, the further you get towards the Cote d'Azur the more this goes up until they're about double
Thanks for the responses folks. The reason for the post is that I've either given up work or it's given me up , not sure which , and I plan to take the boat down there probably in 2 years time. Thought I'd beter start getting my name on some waiting lists. If anyone's got any info on cheaper Med marinas in Spain I'd be grateful. The reason I put France is because apart from Scots , it's the only foreign language I speak.
Bill - work given up on you too! I am trying my last gasp in Software sales before giving up and doing the same as you.
Probably will be a last gasp, as the market is F****d!
Charles has the best solution - I found that Block Marine was so hopelesly out of date that it wasn't worth looking at. The Livre de Bord is really good.
If you are going down the outside, do think of Northern Spain - Probably worth at least a years cruising. From the French Border al the way round to the Portuguese border is some beautiful indented coastline - hardy ruined by yachts ...yet. 2 new pilots for the area - Cruising assoc, an RCC will give all the info you want.
