We are sailing to Cherbourg during our Summer cruise.
Are the shore power connectors in Chantereyne Marina the same as UK round three pin?

yup... most of the marinas in france are the same connection these days.

the only problem i had bank holiday weekend in cherb with the power was the polarity on berth P48 for swapped round the other way. so you may want to make a short extension up with the polarity swapped, just in case. polarity in france is often reversed worth checking straight after you plug in. but yes the same plug as the uk marina.

This is a big subject... but not delving too deep into it. yes the electric onboard will still work. but they wont be earthed correctly. so you could actually get a shock. it's just the mater of swopping the wires in the plug. a serch on this forum on reverse polarity will bring a more indepth answer up.

some boats have polarity testers on the main 240 v switch panel, other than that you can buy one from an electric shop

Chantereyne is same as UK but if you're visiting other French marinas you'll find some of them have ordinary continental plugs so have a short adaptor lead ready
