I have posted this on a couple of sites, any help appreciated.
We are off to Rouen and are interested in possibly buying a canal boat and spending a lot of time looking round the inland waterways. We currently have a 26 foot sailing boat which we will sell and buy a suitable inkland waterway boat.
Any advise on moorings, boats or purchasing will help.

Thanks

French canal cruising very enjoyable. We find the most stressful part is finding a different restaurant every day for lunch.

We bought our 11 m cruiser in Belgium (Navisell have a large choice)at a very good price. Also reasoanable choice in Holland. Depends what you want to spend and Holland tends to be the more expensive boats.

There are 3 yards at St Jean de Loane. Good for mooring for winter and buying.

Good winter parking at Pont a Bar and at Arques. We have stayed in all these over winter.

Hope that helps
