we are going to take canal du midi route to the med,does the icc cover inland waters of france as well,also anybody any advise, good place for mast down etc would be appreciated we are in south brittany at the moment.

You need CEVNI certificate on your ICC, to do inland waterways of France.

Contact an RYA school - eg Roy May at Bisham Abbey, who is excellent and 'did' us- for how to get an inland waterways certificate.
Have just done Midi and half the Lateral a la Garonne. Detailed info on our website (will be updated with latest reports in next 24hrs hopefully)
We intend to enter the Med / remast at Agde.
