Hello ,
I am new here so maybe this isn't the right place to ask but here goes ....
I have a small dutch steel cruiser ( a Van Lent .. built in 1956 .. a pretty boat but not luxurious !) on the Canal Lateral de la Garonne .. which since my husband died 18 months ago I have been unable to use much because I cannot handle the locks .. going up.. alone .. and unable to find anyone with enough free time to come on a trip with me . I am getting to the point where I am thinking of selling the boat and getting a campervan ( really !) but well surely there MUST be someone somewhere who would like a tootle along the canal with me ( and my two large dogs sorry !) and who would share expenses, chuck ropes and fiddle with the engine if need be ! Maybe a long shot but anyone interested please get in touch .
