It's a bit odd because their fixed area Gribs aren't working but their facility to download Gribs for custom defined areas is operational.
I'll report the fault to them - something similar happened a few months ago and they quickly fixed it.
Have tried movingweather for a year, the forecasts are pretty accurate but they are a bit expensive and their graphics are ram hungry. Now onto ugrib, the software has a few glitches but its free. Too early to say if its accurate yet. Both download easily on a gprs connection.

[/ QUOTE ]It is the Global Forecasting System...it evolves constantly, I believe. Of course it is 'just' the output from a computer but there is nothing else like it on the planet. I would never, ever, go to sea on nothing but the GFS forecast.....I always look at a forecast that has been checked by a (professional) forecaster and preferably a local one, who understands local patterns.
