This is not a generous offer. It's just that I have my old jib at home and I am already in serious trouble for not taking it to the dump.

If anyone wants a 110% laminate jib that has seen twelve years use, with a small tear near the leech, made for an HR 34, please let me know. Maybe someone might like to cut it down a bit, practice sailmaking or just cannibalise the odd cringle. Available for collection Wivenhoe or Titchmarsh.

I went to a bar in Lagos Portugal, where the local sailing club hangs out, and they use old sails for curtains

I tried something similar once: no not selling stuff to Alison, but offered a selection of free sails for collection....loads of people wanted them but couldn't be bothered to come and get them.....

When I sailed with EAST we badly needed replacement sails. Andrew Moore at Felixstowe Ferry races squibs so I went to see him. Top man as he is he gave me 6 complete sets of little used sails, one of which was for my boat. EAST were so grateful I had to fight them to get my set out of their hands.
