I wonder if PBO/YM will sponsor a similar initiative around UK waters

There is the option to download charts here via

http://openseamap.org/index.php?id=61&L=1

But the usual caveats apply of 'not to be used for navigation purposes' etc. Not sure if you can get soundings to show up, but the bouyage etc is there.

Possibly just my view/presentation but --- rubbish.
When I was a motor cyclist they said "if you've a £10 head, get a £10 helmet. These dodgy charts could do more harm than good.
Get (from wherever) CMap or CMapNT then enjoy your day.
