I hammered calls, texts and data in the U.S. on 3 for over two weeks earlier in the year. I was a little nervous when it came to billing time but, sure enough, it cost not a penny in addition to my usual monthly contract charge. Brilliant. :encouragement:

i have been with 3 for probably 10 yrs. they are always cheaper than the others.
the free roaming is 11 countries at present

I was with three until I had had enough of there customer service centres in India.

EE are very good for calls abroad having 30+ countries and a £2 100mb data bundle.

Three I am using onboard and so far this month used 17gb of data (fair use is 25gb) it just shows how much pure profit the other brands are making by charging say £15 for 3GB.

Three for DATA, EE ROAMING for all Med or US coast sailing.

I get really annoyed with their call centres.

Here is a current list of the 'Free' countries. As I am going to the Netherlands and Belgium for my holidays, this is worth diddly squat to me.

USA, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau.

From 1 July 2014 you’ll also be able to enjoy Feel At Home in France, Switzerland, Norway, Finland and Israel.

Just had a fortnight in Eire, lovely to keep in touch with family without fearing the bill - at a tenner a month (buy your own phone) it is excellent value - especially since they sent me a free "home box" so that I can make & receive calls inside the house rather than having to walk up the road first.

Most of these (places where 3 / Hutchison operate) had free roaming when I first signed up with 3, years ago. The service was withdrawn, and now they want be to get all excited about their reinstating it. Hmm.

..... EE are very good ....
Now there is something I would never write... Some where in history I got talked into there roamign trariff the biggest con in the world.

I was told that it included all roaming charges... It is not cheap at 60 odd pounds a month So far I have yet to visit a county included in the plan.

They said china was but billed me anyway at 1.80 a minute if they do this I have stopped using my phone for anything but essential call when away...

They say where I am at the moment is "free" but I still get a text saying it costs 1.80 a minute... Would you risk it?

When I have complained I have been urm cut off....

I would not go near them you cannot believe a word they say.. Some operators say messages from orange and T mobile are coming form them others say they are not....

With work I travel allot, I have asked several phone companies can I have a contract where I pay for what I get. IE not pay for UK minutes and data when I am not going to be in the UK but pay a reasonable amount for the calls when I am abroad...

Oh we cannot do that is the answer!

Mobile phone networks are crooks nothing more nothing less....

Rant Over for now....
