FREE! 1973 Firefly sailing dinghy

1973 Firefly dinghy
The boat is in need of some TLC particularly on the decking.
Rig includes mast, boom, and sails,rudder, tiller, and centreboard.
No trailer.
All offered to a good home for free, perhaps
a donation to the RNLI would be nice.

Aren't Fireflies always strip moulded? Lovely boats, a favourite of mine since I was taught to sail in one as a sea scout in the 50's. But I already have 3 sailing dinghies, despite selling 2 to Lakey.

The majority of the fleets used for inter-university racing are GRP. The few strip moulded ones I have seen were beautifully made and looked a treat - unfortunately I've also seen on with the mast poking through the bottom after a bit of over enthusiastic rig tensioning.

If it wood I'd like it very much. Especially if its Fairey Built one!

I would need a few weeks before I could collect, understand if that's a problem.
