hi,

I found on boatlaunch website, that freckleton boatyard has a slipway and launch is £10. But there isn't much more info and no website. Has anyone launched here? Or know much about it? Also says it has boat storage, anyone know about this too?

Thanks
Richard

Look on Google Earth for an idea of the situation. No Website? Sounds like a good old traditional boatyard to me - can't be bad.

Why not go & see them, have a chat with the owner. The good old-fashioned techniques can be best - I'm gratefull that not all our desires are available on t'internet! You'll just have to get out a bit more! :D

To be honest, it would make more sense if you stated your requirements.
Freckleton creek almost dries out at low water, there is a boatyard there plus Arnie Holts place (he makes Seahogs etc) If you head out of the creek and turn right, you will head in the direction of Lytham st Annes. The tides run very hard, so if you had a yacht or displacement mobo, it would not make a good base. If you have a small easily launched boat, there are lots of better places to launch along the Fylde coast including Knot end at Fleetwood.
