Superb stuff. I wonder how "Lucy" feels about it? Apart from the swearing, I liked "The weather was turning from nothing to everything ...". which is beautifully succinct.

Yes, excellent stuff, very well told and surprisingly (for me) I enjoyed the swearing which I thought enhanced the story in an uncontrived and humourous way. Look forward to reading the blog of next years race.

Well, here I am rummaging about the forum looking for other related posts and accidentally came across this.
Thanks for the enthusiasm and positivity. Fair old made my evening reading that.
I've been a little pre occupied the last few months with a whole load of ridiculous stuff. There's a stack of blog post drafts waiting to be finished.
Then along came the right old gift of a story where I was doing the AZAB and got dismasted in the Atlantic a month ago.
So, yeah, I have plenty to laugh about, in a slightly manic, oh that'll be another 25k I'm be spending is it? Kind of way.
I'll be getting round to writing about it pretty soon.
