Hi.

Having recently purchased a Westerly Pageant and I rummaged round this afternoon and having removed the quarter berth back rest in the cabin I found a fold down table attached to the back of it?

Does anyone know what this relates to as I can't seem to link it to anything on the boat. It has certain grooves cut into it so it has to fit into something. Is it a cockpit table. Not sure how it works?

The pic shows the table with the leg extended. It was attached behind the quarter berth backrest also shown in the same pic.

Thanks.

The' table' you found is not a table but the extension and leg to create a double berth in the main saloon.
To do this first remove the existing table top and long tubular leg, Ireplace the long tube with the shorter one( this may be in one of the side lockers ) refit the table into its position as before; you will find that this forms most of a double berth side. The ''table' you found fits in the space to complete the full length resting on that single leg and a ledge by the engine hatch.
The seat back cushion on the forward bulkhead is used to cover the 'table' top, and a detachable cushion back cushion from one of the locker apertures, held on by press studs.
Hope this helps.
