I have Echo Pilot FLS on Spottydog with an old Raymarine RL & RC network I only use this for the Tridata output, I have an stand alone E120 on the fly for chartploting, AIS etc.

The problem I have is both the FLS displays (linked) show the correct depth, when I start them up, but after about 5 minutes, show 120 ft plus (the marina isn't quite that deep!).

I spoke to a really helpful chap at Echo Pliot, who said the Raymarine equipment was interfering with the FLS, but even with all the Raymaine stuff powered off, it still happens, I can't believe both my FLS units are faulty, I will give them a call again tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced this?
Cheers

I have had an Echopilot FLS on a couple of boats and they're basically useless. Unless you're going slowly and the seabed is well definied, you don't get a meaningful display and the depth reading is so often wrong, you can't rely on it. I have also spoken to Echopilot direct in the past and they gave me the same guff about interference from other nav equipment, particularly another echo sounder and, like you, I tried switching everything else off and found no improvement in the performance of the FLS. I believe other forumites have had similar experiences with the FLS

Ditto FLS is useless. Also you can't use two separate sounding systems on the same vessel as they will interfere with each other unless the transducers are on different frequencies. Depending on how the raymarine kit was wired, the transducers may still have power when the displays are off (ie when the master power switch or ignition is on). For example usually the GPS antenna is powered even the helm electrics are on even if the displays are turned off. Same in a networked setup for sounder transducers which will be on irrespective of display power.
