Why don't you get some forum clobber like hats scarfs and spec's holders like they do in the mags. You could either sell them (not a popular option) or give them away to the contributors to the forum when they pass mile stones eg. 100 posts. All right I realise MattS would require a whole new wardrobe to keep his in, but at least it would promote the site and give the newbies and the lurkers something to aim for.
As it's my idea I expect mine to come with a goodly amount of gold braid on it. You could even present them at the forum get together like a prize giving. No speaches though unless you want a flurry of bread rolls to be launched in your general direction.

Re: Kim\'s Speech:The Aldwych Address

Four score and seven weeks ago, how long's that?.. yeah, around two years or thereabouts anyway... where was I ? Oh yes, as I was saying, one of the guys at IPC had an idea, right? We’d have forums on the website, no particular reason really, but we’d have a few of them, and everyone could join in, so that all of them - and I suppose all the forums too, y'know, would be pretty much, well, equal. Now, some time later there was a bit of unpleasantness, like a civil war, well that's a bit strong, in-fighting really... obviously I don’t really want to go into it too much right now. But it was a bit of a blow at the time, and a few of us at the office talked about it to sort things out over lunch at a nearby restaurant. In fact, it was right here in this restaurant! Well, it’s a really nice place, good portions, nice for a rest especially other things at work are a bit dead. 'Course, haha, I’m not saying that this is “our” restaurant dedicated to us even to all of us here now. Especially seeing as how lots of other people will have had other things happen to them here too, probably more important things too. It wasn't what you might call earth-shattering, and most of you will have forgotten all about it...The rewrite? remember?...whatever. Anyway, to sum up, i don't really need to say too much more, but perhaps we can help carry on with things, the forum and so on, as they are? I suppose that’s partly my job, and yours too, all of us I suppose, and I think it’s really great that everything’s turning out nicely.

so i suppose you remember the canteen at HMSO at the other end of the street though you probably go scrounging round King's Beam House - I know you type, anything for a sniff at the evidence.
