Ladies and Gentleman, your attention please!

You may have noticed a long long thread on MBChat, covering the issue of a “forum burgee”.

During the course of the thread, the design of a burgee has been decided! No, there wasn’t much voting about it, hence it didn't take too long... and it is now in production! It is polycotton 9 x 12inch piped round the edges in gold, probably. Piece of string through in normal fashion.

It is a rather wondeful design of a mouse (geddit?) drinking a martini on royal blue, so not too sailing nor stinky, in my humble opinion.

£12 quid incl postage to UK mainland. Excess profits to RNLI. That is, any profits really.

The way to order is to send a PM (private message) to the user "hlb", saying send me a pm and address details. He'll return a pm with an address for you to send a cheque. You send a cheque with your details. The burgee is sent to you. This way, everyone's actual address is kept secret, and nobody is attacked by criminal gangs, intent upon stealing the valuable burgee.

Dear hlb is actually funding this himself, so I hope you’ll do the decent thing and perhaps sendim a cheque in advance? Don't forget to put the address on the cheque, otherwise he'll have an awful job trying to match your cheque and the appropriate PM.

And you lot aswell! Get the orders in! You can tell those that ask its a very special select club, much better than a blue!!! Well it is blue actually, and defaced so I guess.........

1 Send the poster "hlb" a PM saying orlright I'll have one. His real name is Haydn, btw.

2. hlb returns a little pm to you saying oright send cheque to (his address details). It's first come first served at the point the cheque turning up. So prps put it in a red envelope in handwriting that looks nice so he'll open yours first.

3. Your cheque MUST HAVE your postal actual address on the back and your poster name. This way hlb (or his dear wife) can just send the stuff off without fiddling on the puter seeing who's what.

4. Later, the fabuolous burgee turns up at your house. Nobody cept haydn knows where all the burgees are, and he'll have lots anyway. And he's in Altrincham or somewhere miles away anyway.

5. If he hasn't enuf burgees yerl have to wait for some more to be made, depending on how it goes. Or he'll rip the cheque up if u say so t'wont cost you anything and he's a v decent chap anyway.
