The M3/M27 thread got me thinking.

If there was rear window stick-on forum burgee (is there one?) you could all wave to each other in the q's on the M27/M3 on a Sunday evening. These could be personalised with your forum handle underneath.

Must be somebody on the forum can produce these.

(and ties, caps, etc.)

Good idea. Get it organised. Caps as well. Sweatshirts perhaps. I'm not so sure about ties, I haven't worn one of those for years. Must include scarves and brooches or other jewellery for the ladies though.

A client of mine does this type of thing ( embroidery/printing etc) for corporate customers and also motor racing teams. If someone can send me the logo, I'll get (mates rates) quotes for sweatshirts, polo shirts etc.

The business can handle small runs as well so one offs are not a problem.

Easy, can be done for about 30p,to you sir; £1.50,see ships woofy's post on government pensions!

personalisation not an option at reasonable cost.

Re: Forum T shirts

We don't need the T shirts produced professionaly. It's easy enough to print the logo ourselves using an inkjet printer and transfer paper. We just need the logo some place we can down load it from.

Re: Forum T shirts

Yes, I made one for a joke a couple of years ago. It didn't survive the wash particularly well.

I'm still not sure whether it was the joke, or the print, which was the first to wear a bit thin. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I did this a year or so back for the 'Halberdier Owners Group'

Actually there is only about 12 of us world wide, but it was fun to do
and we have nice logo and I spent an enjoyable few hours organising it all taking the design to the Tee shirt shop ( the owner turned out to be a RIB Cruising enthusiast).

So now we have our members from Australia to Alaska wearing Polos T-shirts caps and fleeces at prices that are less than if you went into a high st shop to buy the same undecorated items off the rack.

Great Fun. Regds Nick.

The problem with that logo, and it is the reason I keep wavering between getting a burgee and not getting a burgee is that I think many, including me consider it to be the MBM MBY burgee. Probably more because they seem to be the ones who have really taken it up.

it is quite distinctive but does the design have any relevance to the forums, sailing or motorboating?

Is the mouse intended to represent a computer mouse perhaps?

I wish I could say I like that burgee, but I honestly don't.

1) The artwork is far too detailed and fine. It's only recognisable from very close up

2) The piping around the fly is too 'girlie' for my taste

Something bolder and with more block colour and more traditional

...stand by to be flamed Thomas!

Always guessed as mouse (computer) drinking G&T (gin palace).

It is the gin palace bit that I think makes it err on the side of mobo's.
