Anyone had any dealings with these guys, as some may know I am keen to sell my Targa 48 at the moment, due to a few good reasons, and Ive been mail shotted by these guys following my ad on the Fairline Owners Club site.

Just wanted to know if anyone has sold through them, seems a good website, and seem to have some nice boats for sale.

Regards
Jas.

Jas,

I have never heard of them and have never checked their site. I tend to use boatshop24 (.co.uk and .com). Problem is awareness and you are not going to stumble on that site by accident whilst looking for a boat as the name is not boaty!

Just my opinion

Thanks, thats a good point.

Anyone got any suggestions other than J.D Yachts (Who are good) and have her listed already?

am I better off leaving her in the water or haul her out, new anodes, valet etc, and left ashore?

Jas.

Jas lift her out. Then only serious punters will sea trial her as they pay the price. get her sorted and do as much promotion yourself as you can. Use boats and outboards, Boatshop24 etc and try and build a basic website yourself with lots of pictures and link to it.

Also consider a private add on Ebay! If yours is a good price a lot of Europeans look at the site!

Also put a tag line on here...i.s. Targa 48 only £199k! It gets picked up by google!
Cheers

Lift her out, but where do I put her? Hayling is just a bit too off the beaten track I guess.

Anyone dealt with ancasta? They seem to be very aggressive in their spamming up of my email account!

Hi there!

I feel I can reply without be accused of advertising because some one has asked a question about us.

In answer to the question about websites we upload to all the major portals such as yachtworld, rightboat etc etc etc and so that is how one of our boats will get seen in terms of internet presence. You would also been pleased to hear we have sponsored two of the YBW newletters and that has sent huge traffic levels to our site and we have several viewings as a result so I hope that overcomes that issue.

We also actively search out buyers in the normal way by matching our database of buyers to boats as they come on to our books.

As staff we have over 20 years experience in yacht brokering, dealing with new and used boats and so we know how to do things and more importantly how not to do things.

On a professional front all our staff are members of ABYA and have been through their brokers course. We have a client account properly controlled by our client deposit manager at Natwest Bank and are registered for VAT.

All boats that come on site with us are lifted ashore where we can offer a variety of services and as a promotion some of these will be at little or even no cost to the owner. I believe the original starter of the thread received one of these emails.

We offer the cheapest professional storage ashore on the South Coast and will always go the extra mile to secure a sale for you.

We also create free video brochures for all our boats.

We also have a very competitive commision rate to put more money back in your pocket when you do sell.

Hoepfully we can entice a certain lovely Fairline Targa down here /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

All the best to everyone and I hope this post helps.

Hi Jason, I hope you have better luck selling your boat than I have mine using Boatshed, just lowered the price yet again as you know she is mint, but not had one viewing in 9 months, hope to meet up soon for a beer if your down south. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
