Formica: Advice needed, please.

If memory serves Thixofix is a Dunlop contact adhesive, not always easy to get hold of. As a previous post suggests, there's a similar Evostik product which allows a modest amount of repositioning. Can't recall the name, but any good hardware shop should be able to get it.

Also agree with other post that router is far the easiest way to trim to size after fitting -- but only providing there's good access. If you go this route (no pun intended), try on an offcut first, bonded to a piece of ply. It's dramatically noisy but works a treat.

Thixofix...

Yes, Thixofix is a Dunlop product and it is actually quite easy to buy. The similar thixotropic Evostik product is called Timebond.

The method I use is to first find the post, then copy its url into your editor, then paste it back into your current post prefixing and ending with the usual url brackets.

hope that helps

Steve.

Re: Thixofix...

There are also a range of various adhesives of use to us boaters at your local carpet warehouse/wholesalers...mainly the "Stycobond" range of glues for carpets and flooring.
