Forestay toggle

Perhaps I'm being a fusspot but I don't like the way the lower stirrup has been squeezed to narrow it. This might have caused cracks.

And I don't like the way that not all of the blue plastic in the nyloc nut is in use.
^^What he said ^^ - plus I'd want a longer clevis pin so a washer can go behind the split pin.

Out of curiosity (well, and ignorance), what is the point of adding a washer in that situation?
I always add a thin one to ease rotation of the clevis pin and to prevent the split pin (or tools) scratching and therefore rusting the (usually expensive) fitting
