I had intended to cross the Wash from Wisbech to Blakeney this weekend

not an epic voyage by any standards

Windguru suggests that the conditions will be sub-optimal

instead I shall be re-arranging the garage to make it look as though I have thrown away some stuff

what about your lost sailing plans

A group of us had intended to go out in the wash from Wisbech for a trip tomorrow but that's not happening now.

Do you know if the NB's at Wisbech all got over to Boston during the week? I know 6 had made it and wondered if the rest had.

I shall mostly be walking the dog on Dartmoor, interrupted at regular intervals for beer ;) followed up by victualling boat for end of next weeks departure :)

Am stuck in Newlyn for the duration of this bad weather, waiting for a suitable window for crossing to Brest. Would have been better had I stayed over another week or so in Ireland, but wanted to make use of the good weather to start southwards, thinking this weekends low would get it over quickly. Serious misjudgement on my part, so will just suffer on in this place until weather improves.

Sitting it out off Green Bay in Scillies Two anchors out and still hoping to see more of the Islands But when this weather improves

All not quite SWMBO was lead to expect from a cruise to the Scilly Isles

Any suggestions for getting fresh water tank filled, if the weather improves?

From Tuesday onwards? F5 westerlies.

Hose at the ferry's berth at the Quay (St Mary's). Used to be £1 for a fill. (The only place I have ever had to pay for water!)

We will be out walking the dog, by the canal.

This will be followed later by roast pork, crackling, apple sauce, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cabbage and carrots. Well, you've got to cheer yourselves up if you cannot go sailing, haven't you?

Newlyn is not the fun capital of the West of England
Hope you are not trapped there too long Bit expensive for what if offers too

CooP is good and the hairdresser just over the bridge is good Ask them about the sky dive

Wednesday afternoon looks possible, but that low coming in casts some doubt on the wisdom of a departure that day. Friday/Saturday looks more promising, with a wider window of acceptable wind and direction. Will be following the evolution of forecasts as the days go by.

Have done shopping in Penzance, and in local Coop for small items. Haven´t gone to the hairdressers, though that could be needed in a few weeks time.
