I've posted this before, but with no response so I will try again.

My rev counter has stopped working on my sabre 80, all connections seem fine, the sender unit is like a mechanical one on the side of the block, presumably driven off the crank?

How can I check what's the problem, how easy are these units to change?

I'm really struggling now I need some inspiration.

Can anybody help???

Depending on the alternater fitted ,would it be simpler to change the whole thing? to an alternater driven unit, available from asap, they will even send you drawing of how to wire into an alternater that hasn,t got a readymade conection, would be reasonably simple as you already have cabling in place from the old system??

Try measuring the output in Hz not volts if its working it will rise in frequency as revs go up.
